Frequently asked questions
What is the Help Disabled programme?
Help Disabled is a Masjid.Life programme for people with disabilities who cannot earn a living and have no able-bodied family member to provide for them. Because they cannot work, an interest-free loan cannot help them — so support reaches them as a donation, delivered through our mosque branches.
Can I give my zakat here?
Yes. The programme is designed for the destitute — the primary category of zakat recipients — so zakat, fitra and general sadaqah are all suitable. The choice of how you designate your gift is always yours.
How do I donate to a specific person?
Donations are handed over through our local mosque branch teams, who know the beneficiaries personally. Every delivered amount is added to the running total you see on this page, and all fund flows are published in the open Transparency reports.
